How To Use A Disposable Nebulizer Mask

Mar 24, 2022

Atomization is a method of treating respiratory diseases. The drug is delivered to the trachea and lung lesions in the form of aerosol through the method of atomization, thereby achieving the therapeutic effect. When using, you need to follow the product instructions. Generally, first, connect all parts of the nebulizer tightly, inject the medicine, adjust the flow of the aerosol reasonably, then cover the mask, and finally inhale.

  1. Connection: It is necessary to connect the various components of the atomizer tightly, connect the atomizing cup and the mask, and connect the oxygen inhalation tube and the atomizing cup;

  2. Injecting medicine: inject the medicine to be inhaled into the atomizing cup, and then dilute the medicine in the atomizing cup to 2-4ml with 0.9 percent sodium chloride solution;

  3. Adjustment: adjust the oxygen flow meter to 4-6L/min, so that the aerosol flow can reach an appropriate level;

  4. Cover the mask: put the mask on the patient's face, cover the mouth and nose, press gently and firmly to make the mask effectively seal, so as to prevent the aerosol from entering the eyes or wasting the medicine; adjust the tightness of the mask to avoid pressing the hard part of the mask mouth, nose and eyes;

  5. Inhalation: After inhaling the aerosol, the patient should breathe slowly so that the liquid stays in the airway as much as possible.

Disposable nebulizer masks should be used exclusively by individuals to reduce cross-infection. Children and the elderly should be accompanied by a guardian to avoid damage to the nasal mucosa, oral mucosa, and eyes due to excessive oxygen flow. After use, the atomizer should be cleaned.
